Extend the protective envelope downward
Conventional body armor primarily protects the vital organs of the upper torso. The Fold Shield FGS™ extends the protective envelope downward and can be positioned to protect vulnerable lower-body areas frequently exposed to fragmentation.
Depending on the wearer's position and attachment configuration, the Fold Shield can provide coverage for the lower abdomen, pelvic region, groin, upper thighs, buttocks and posterior pelvic region.
Flexible IIIA Protection
Equipped with Tatou Armor flexible soft armor designed for HG2 / legacy Level IIIA ballistic threat performance.
Fragmentation Coverage
Designed to provide additional protection against fragments, shrapnel and secondary projectile hazards in operational environments.
Buttocks & Rear Protection
The shield may be positioned toward the rear to increase protection of the buttocks, posterior pelvis and upper rear thigh area.
Rapid Deployment
Compact when folded and rapidly deployed when increased lower-body coverage is required.
